Certain breeds of pets have weaknesses and live shorter lives because of

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Idiotic mankind has decided that some features are required in the breed and foolish mankind has forced the breed in an unnatural direction. Look at Pug respiratory systems for one of the worst examples. Various hounds' (blood hound, basset hound) eyes are also pretty pathetic. Just my opinion.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

inbreeding. reproduction. genetic diversity. natural selection. i need an answer

OpenStudy (one098):

genetic diversity??

OpenStudy (one098):

idk

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Are you serious? Did you read what I wrote? I used the word "unnatural". I utterly exposed the LACK of diversity. Think about it again.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk bro i just need the answer is it a b c or d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it genetic diversity?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Unwillingness to think about it is not helpful. In order to obtain a specific BREED, one must AVOID diversity. There's a clue.

OpenStudy (liamschumm):

Is it not inbreeding?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

inbreeding?

OpenStudy (liamschumm):

Because inbreeding is selective breeding, I think.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok im doing edgenuity i need more help so hopefully you can help me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok answer this question for me Which is an example of hybridization that would increase hybrid vigor?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

producing a litter of puppies by mating two dogs of different breeds using genetic engineering to insert a gene for vitamin A in carrot plants pollinating the flowers on a tomato plant with pollen from a plant of the same variety choosing a mate for a purebred cat from another littler of offspring from the same mother and father

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

INBREEDING!!! Congratulations. Come on! You have to think about these... "same father and mother" - How is that hybridization? "same variety" - How is that hybridization? Gene Splicing - Is a GMO a hybrid? "different breeds" - Finally! A hybridization? Seriously, just stop and think for a second instead of hoping the answer will drop out of the sky.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Post new questions on new threads, please.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK will you answer them?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

I want YOU to think about them, first.
