Can someone help me really quickly please? I will give a medal!
Two students in your class, Tucker and Karly, are disputing a function. Tucker says that for the function, between x = -3 and x = 3, the average rate of change is 0. Karly says that for the function, between x = -3 and x = 3, the graph goes up through a turning point, and then back down. Explain how Tucker and Karly can both be correct, using complete sentences.
turning point is like vertex of a parabola where the graph turns/takes a twist
It's best if you figure out the function of the graph and you can already tell rate of change is 0, so once you get your function you can make the graph and then just see where the top point is and and it'll symmetrical so they'll both be right :). I hope that makes sense!
