How would a golfers score of 4 over par best be represented?

par is the number of strokes a golfer normally requires for a particular hole or course.
So basically, your equation, if p stands for par, is : p + 4
4 over par....lets say the par for a particular hole is 10.....4 over par would be 10 + 4 = 14.
Just to let you know, a golfer strives for under par....over par just means it took you more shots to make the hole then normal.
