I am a confused here finding the domain of -2x+2 The domain would be [1,infinity) or (-infinity,infinity)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is defined for all real values ,then what the answer can be ?

OpenStudy (phi):

domain are all the x values that "do not cause trouble" (trouble would be dividing by 0 or taking the root of a negative number) since you are not dividing or taking a square root, no x will cause trouble. so the domain is all real values.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That did not make since. Sorry.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok if it results in a negative number it is all real numbers. because of the -2.
