For this question: why can't it be? parallel section of OX = 10cos(30) + 2cos(45) + 5cos(70) perpendicular section of OX = 10sin(30) +5sin(70) + 2sin(45)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

it should be : parallel section of OX = 10cos(30) - 2cos(45) - 5cos(70)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Notice that the forces 2N and 5N are acting opposite to OX direction, so you need to subtract their x components

thank you :)

can you help me with this question? please

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

idk

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Oh kg wt is same as Newton

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

"kg wt = N"

so how would i address this question?, at first it says its accelrating at 1m/s^2, but the question asks me to consider when it is stationary so a = 0 shouldn't mg = 2.5g m = 2.5 so the reading equals 2.5? why is the ans 2.784?
