@AuroraB

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kk, thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (gorv):

sorry it is not afunction

OpenStudy (gorv):

its is a equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh, ok..

OpenStudy (gorv):

The best way to determine whether or not an equation is a function is through the vertical line test. If you can put a vertical line at every point on the graph for the equation and have it pass through only one point on the line, then it is a function. Because x = 3 is a vertical line itself, it is undefined.

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its x=-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but I get what your saying, thanks for the help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sometimes, the graphs of linear functions pass through the origin of the xy-plane. True False

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

y = x does that's a function

OpenStudy (gorv):

yeah

OpenStudy (gorv):

y=x y=2x y=mx where m is number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (cwrw238):
