Do Tangent and secant functions have the same domain?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

do both get divided by cos?

Parth (parthkohli):

First of all, the natural restriction in domain occurs mostly because of roots and denominators. Here, we're dealing mostly with denominators. In both of the functions, we've restricted the domain based on the fact that we don't want the denominator to be zero. So yeah - "do both get divided by cos?"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Tan= sin/cos and sec=1/cos so yes So the answer is true?
