The functions f(x) and g(x) are shown below: f(x)=(0.001)^x g(x)=0.001x Which statement BEST describes the graph of both: 1.The graph of (g) will eventually exceed the graph of g(x) 2. The graphs will both have their y-intercept equal to 1. 3. The graphs will both have their y-intercept equal to 0.001.

Do you have an idea which one it will be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I already eliminate one that said the graph of f(x) will eventually exceed the graph of g(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok good deal. If the exponent is zero, you always get 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the the y intercept is 1. if x=0, the then f(x) and g(x) are going to be 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So is 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's 2. f(0)=1 and g(0)=1. The y intercept of both is 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am sorry I was looking at my paper and is choice 3 here but I put only the ones I did not eliminate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks for your help

Yep no problem
