I was asked to factor : 6x2 + 5xy - 4y2. Help???

The given equation is 6x^2+5xy-4y^2 so we first find factors of -24 s.t. addition of them is 5 So those are 8 and -3 so we write 6x^2 + 8xy - 3xy - 4y^2 =2x(3x+4y) -y(3x+4y) =(3x+4y)(2x-y)
