OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the meaning of projectile motion

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is the curved path (or parabola) an object follows when thrown or propelled near the surface of the Earth.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its infact a combination of horizontal & vertical motions ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is a two dimensional motion (horizontal+vertical) that takes place under the action of constant gravitational acceleration i.e when we throw a ball upward, it goes up and returns back due to constant gravitational acceleration making a parabola

OpenStudy (masumanwar):

Projectile motion is in two dimensional motion where the particle is thrown with a velocity at an angle so that it goes to a maximum point and then start falling to the ground thetrajectory is found to be parabolic for that .
