One mole represents a fixed number of atoms of any element. Is there a name we use in our daily lives, which describes a known amount, or quantity, that you are familiar with?

for weight id say kilograms, grams, lbs etc., for volume id say liter, mililiter, etc. get the picture?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks! :)

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

I understand the question addresses amounts, not quantities such as mass or volume. I would say a dozen is used to describe any group of twelve objects, and can be applied to any item.
