what would change with the heating curve if the ice was just allowed to melt on it's own?

slope of the curve would change

it would take longer to melt and that straight part would be longer

@Kryten Sketch what the heating curve would look like if we had started out with ice at -30 degrees celcius and we heated it up until we got the resulting water boiled away.
