3x²-24x-27

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

3x^2 +3x-27x-27

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

3x(x+1)-27(x+1)

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

(3x-27)(x+1)

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Do you understand how I did this @helpmeplease1998

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no can you explain it for me?

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Ok. Well you see you have to find two number that when you multiply it equals to -27*3 and when you add it up it should equal -24

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

I notices that +3 and -27 works as the two factors

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

so I replaced -24 with them and I grouped factored them

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Do you get it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ooohhh now i get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):
