NEED HELP PLEASE!!! At 5:00 p.m., the outside temperature was –9.2°C. By 10:00 p.m., the outside temperature had dropped 4.5°C. What was the outside temperature at 10:00 p.m.?

The answers was -13.7... If the temperature DROPS that means it gets colder. So you would subtract -9.2 and 4.5 which equals -13.7. Subtracting a negative and positive is the same as adding it's opposite, in this cause that means -9.2 - 4.5 turns into -9.2 + -4.5. So just add 9.2 and 4.5, which equals 13.7, then turn it into a negative by simply adding the negative sign in front of it (-13.7). So the answer would be -13.7.
