What is an example of the negative effects of pride in a perso

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, the most obvious answer to this is that pride often leads to a super-inflated ego. The problem with having a super-inflated ego is that your ego will consume you; maintaining it will become one of the most-if not /the/ most important thing to you. Your main concern becomes maintaining some ego rather than something that genuinely help you. Pride can prevent you from acknowledging a mistake, and one wouldn't be able to grow as a person after making said mistake or prevent said mistake from happening again. Pride can also stop someone from asking for help when its needed. Admitting to needing help is so often seen as the same thing as showing weakness, and the supposed embarrassment of saying, "I might not be handle this all on my own" stops the person from asking. Which just leaves them with the same problem indefinitely. .... That's all I got at the moment. I hope this is half-way coherent. I haven't slept in 4, maybe 600 days, so. Hope this helps you.
