Can someone help me on my chemistry homework. I'll add a picture of the question. -Thanks! (Please help)
independant variable what do you think that means? well word itself gives you the answer, your experiment does not depend on that particular variable, as for variables in your case you have plenty ex. kind of earth used, amount of earth, space for each plant etc... now what do you think in this particular experiment what is independant variable ie thing that does not effect the outcome of the experiment in any way?
I understand, so the answer would be "type of water that was added."
no... does he take the pills and ads them to water and waters tplants with it? if so then experiment depends on type of water he uses
I'm confuse now. Independant means the variable that is changed in a scientific experiment. Everything that is added is the same except the type of water because he watered one planter with tap water, and he watered the other planter with tap water mixed with dissolved diet pills.
no independant means it des NOT depend in other words it will not affect outcome of experiment. type of water is dependable because in one case he uses plain water and in other case he uses "pilled" water, so you expect a change... amount of water is dependable because if you use more water be it plain or "pilled" one plant will grow at diferent rate and the more "pilled" water you use the higher concentration of pills that plant gets right? height of plants is actualy what he measures so it definetley depends on all conditions so what would it be?
Not very sure, I honesty thought it was type of water.
are all the plants in same location and do they get same amount of light?
The plants were in the same location to ensure they got the same amount of sunlight, and the water was measured so that each pot received the same amount of water. So yes.
so does outcome of experiment depends on amount of light?
I really didn't understand how it ended because it said he just craft so I don't know what were the outcomes.
in this task it is not important what the outcome is, what is important is for you to see how experiment setup works... so things he make to ensure all plants have same treatment are independable variables all other are dependable, so if all plants recieve same amount of light, outcome of experiment does NOT depend on amount of light they recieve get it?
unfortunately i have a meeting soon so i have to prepare... but if you have further doubts im sure @ParthKohli will help you
Yes, I understand your statement. According to this it's Height of the tomato plants or amount of sun light. Correct.
NOOO not the height of tomato plants!!! it DEPENDS on all variables and it is actually what you measure in this experiment!!!
I still need help. I'll keep bumping.
i relly have to go now, try tagging somebody from online list if you dont know how its done just put @ and start tpying their name
