Can anyone help me with this real quick please? Which of the following sentences does NOT contain a dangling modifier? A. Torn from its moorings, the high wind drove the boat onto the rocks. B. Imported in the last century, the people on Easter Island outnumber the horses. C. The Stanleys moved into the house, although it was only half finished. (If you could explain a dangling modifier to me I'd be thankful xD)

It's C, actually.

Modifiers are words, phrases, or clauses that add description. In clear, logical sentences, you will often find modifiers right next to—either in front of or behind—the target words they logically describe.

So if the description is placed next to the incorrect 'target words' it's a misplaced modifier.
