Please help! Will give MEDAL!!!! Choose the correct description of the graph of the compound inequality: x-3<-9 or x+5> or equal to 12 A) A number line with a closed circle on -6, shading to the left, and an open circle on 7, shading to the right. B) A number line with an open circle on -6, a closed circle on 7, and shading in between. C) A number line with an open circle on -6, shading to the left, and a closed circle on 7, shading to the right. D) A number line with a closed circle on -6, and open circle on 7, and shading in between.
@shinalcantara can you please help me?
open circle simply implies that it doesn't include the number itself but rather the number less than or greater than depending on the inequality sign (say >, <) x - 3 < -9 x < -9 +3 x < -6 then you'll have the graph as: |dw:1412001527144:dw|
So c :D Because it has an open circle on -6 shading to the left, and a closed circle would then be on 7 shading to the right!
is that right?
yep
Thank you so much :D!!!!
