Describe a method you can use to find the area of the following shape. Provide specific details in your answer, including coordinates and descriptions of shapes used. Then, find the actual area of the figure.
& i have this so far as an answer but i feel that i have something wrong.. Im going to join AC and FC. Which will make triangle ABC and triangle AFC. it will leave trapezoid FEDC. Area of triangle ABC A= 1/2bh A=1/2 x 3 x 4 A= 6 Area of triangle AFC A=1/2bh A=1/2 x 3 x 3 A=4.5 Area of trapezoid FECD A= 6 X 4+2 / 2 = 18 6+ 4.5+ 18 = 28.5
THat can be divided successfully into 4 triangles of which you will use the coordinates of the vertices to find the length of their sides and then the areas.
You mean i could do triangle ABC, AFC & CDE ?
yes
Oohhh i seee. ill have Triangle ABC, AFC, CDE & FCE
