OpenStudy (mia99):

HOw do you tell the degree of a function?

OpenStudy (mia99):

\[\frac{ X+1 }{ X(X+4) }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The degree I believe, would be 2 because the denominator, after distributing X, would turn out to be X^2 + 4X. The highest degree is therefore, 2, and makes the equation quadratic. Does that make sense?

OpenStudy (mia99):

ohh yeah now i get it Thank YOU!1

No problem! :)
