There are two important things here: PEMDAS and Signs. Remember Pemdas (parenthesis, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction) helps you figure out which part of the equation to solve first. For example, in problem 1, you have to decide whether to multiply -5 and 6 first or to add -22 and -5 first. The answer, of course is to multiply -5 and 6 because the M (Mult.) in PEMDAS comes before the A (add.). Another example might be a problem with parenthesis. Parenthesis should be dealt with before mult., div., add. and sub. Because P is before all of those letters. Does that make sense? Now, about the signs. Remember: a negative times a negative is a positive. An example of this might be in problem two, where you are multiplying -6 by -5. This is positive 30. It is important to remember this, because it can throw off your whole equation. Now, I've wrote out all the steps in the attachments below, to help guide you in your understanding. If you have any questions, I'm happy to help :)
