first of all if youre solving, it must be an equation, set equal to 0 x^4-x^3-6x^2=0 1. Factor. there is x to 2nd degree shared by all terms. this can be factored x^2(x^2-x-6)=0 2. because of the zero product property at least one of the factors must be 0 x^2=0 x=0 continue with the other factor it is a trinomial which can be factored x^2-x-6=0 (x-3)(x+2)=0 set each factor equal to zero and solve x=3 and x=-2 the zeroes of this equation are -2,0, and 3 that means the graph of this equation intersects the x axis at those x values hope this helps!
