Given f(x)= |x-3|-7 a) Find the x-intercepts b) Find the y-intercepts c) Graph The Precise Function

OpenStudy (debbieg):

a. Find the x-intercepts by setting y = 0 and solving for x. 0 = |x-3|-7 can you solve that for x? (You should get 2 solutions) b. Find the y-intercept by setting x = 0 and solving for y y = |0-3|-7 c. Have you done transformations of graphs yet? Do you know what the basic graph y=|x| looks like? This is just 2 transformations on that graph (a horizontal shift right, then vertical shift down).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank YOU! :D I figured that out thankfully later with the graph I remembered my transformation graphs
