A soil scientist conducts tests on a sample of soil. Her tests show that water flows through the soil easily and that the soil does not hold much water.
How would this soil sample be described?
A.
low porosity and low permeability
B.
low porosity and high permeability
C.
high porosity and low permeability

Permeability is how easily a fluid moves through the soil. In this case it is high. Porosity is the percent void space in the soil. As the sample holds little water, this implies the porosity is low. I would go with "C
