Which of the following was a primary cause for the break of the eastern half of the Roman Empire? A. The eastern Romans became more interested in deliverance religions. B. The Roman government had too little power over too great a territory. C. The Neoplatonists believed eastern Romans were not virtuous enough. D. The regions of Gaul and Palmyra threatened to undertake an uprising. Also, could you explain to me why? Thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would say B. Because the Roman Empire was a massive world power at the time and was struggling to keep all of the nations under in line. Most of Roman Empire period was about battle and conquering the "world"
