An effective argument uses anger to prove one idea is better than another uses emotions to prove one idea is better than another uses evidence to prove one idea is better than another uses opinions to prove one idea is better than another

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

What is the purpose of the argument? The effective argument is the one that persuades. It could be any of the four and quite a few others. Now, a moral argument must also be true, but our society doesn't usually demand that. It is a sad thing. A logical argument could use evidence or opinions. It depends on the nature of the thing being argued. If it has been done, before, there is more likely some evidence. If it is a first-time thing, opinion may be all you have. Very, very vague question.
