this is elementary chemistry, some of the basic rules... but ok...
compound can be separated in atoms ie elements, solution is combination of compound in liquid (other compound) and suspension is aglomeration of compound (lumps) in another compound...
so answer is?

it is A) because it says substance is composed of only one kind of atom and can't be separated into simpler substances and all that entire sentence is definition of element.
compound is for example NaCl and you can separate it to Na and Cl get it?
