The table I drew horribly shows the amount of money a plumber charges for different numbers of hours that he works. What is the slope of the line that represents this situation?

OpenStudy (aum):

Pick any two y values and the corresponding x values Slope = \(\Large \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\)

OpenStudy (aum):

x values are the hours worked y values are the charges

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the slope would be 48, correct? Or would I leave it as 96/2?

Nnesha (nnesha):

yep slope is 48

Thanks to both of you! :)
