Please help me. So confuzzled @_@

OpenStudy (jojokiw3):

Steps please! The ratio of bunnies to rabbits was 4 to 5. There were 1200 fewer bunnies than twice the number of rabbits. How many bunnies and how many rabbits were there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um can u make the question esay im in 6th

OpenStudy (kohai):

Working on it :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

geerky42 (geerky42):

Let variable \(b\) represents number of bunnies and variable \(r\) represents number of rabbits. You have equations: \(\dfrac{4}{5}=\dfrac{b}{r}\\~\\b = 2r-1200\) Can you solve these equations?

OpenStudy (kohai):

Ah, looks like @geerky42 has it :)

OpenStudy (jojokiw3):

I can't. ;-;

OpenStudy (kohai):

Essentially b is twice the number of rabbits but 1200 fewer. |dw:1412121067975:dw| Like that. Can you cross multiply?
