HELP! PLZ! I DID ALL OF IT BUT I GOT IT WRONG PLEASE HELP! ALGEBRA 2 I ATTACHED THE IMAGE.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@webby.tease so you answered the questions on the pic and got them wrong and you need help your saying?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so lets start on number 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ummm theres alot of question marks I dont get it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hm it might be the symbols one sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i don't know why its showing question marks o.o let me retype

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you're solving an inequality here, i'll show you step by step |4x - 10| >= 14 you need to solve your absolute value |4x - 10| >= 14 now we're stuck with two possiblities for the answer.. we know either 4x - 10 >= 14 or 4x - 10 <= - 14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the line would be on 14 and -14 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@webby.tease heres your first possiblity 4x - 10 >= 14 4x - 10 + 10 >= 14 + 10 4x >= 24 4x/4 >= 24/4 (divide both sides by 4) x >= 6 so if x >= 6 on the line it would be as shown in the picture i have attached here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but you have another possiblity for an answer here..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which would be same thing but the opposite on 0 to -14 going on the right side?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@webby.tease 4x - 10 <= -14 4x - 10 + 10 <= - 14 + 10 (add 10 to both sides) 4x <= -4 4x/4 <= -4/4 (divide both sides by 4) x <= -1 so for this one, it would be a closed circle on 6 shading to the right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@webby.tease possibly yeah we're stuck with two answers here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh nvm I see x>=6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so that would be the answer? and I did the second one can you please check it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well im not really sure because we have two answers here.. so we need to go for which one is best and let me take a look

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4x - 10 >= 14 4x - 10 + 10 >= 14 + 10 4x >= 24 4x/4 >= 24/4 x >= 6 so if x >= 6 I think its thise one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@webby.tease your correct for question 2! and i believe so too for x >= 6 i think that is the best one to go for

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank you ! can you help me in a few more to plz. I need help with the 3rd one from here in the image

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok let me take a look

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so we need to graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah I tried doing it I got it wrong. The equations inside of the graph are not part of the question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and the solution points aren't ethier

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@webby.tease ok so for the graphing are these two inequalities or they're all in one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all in one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

heres the image of the problem only

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hm ok let me do this on paper

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this one is really tricky o.o what did you come up with?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@webby.tease ok i think i got it now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i used a graphing calculator for this one.. does it make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No what website did you use? Did they have the steps? because I cant understand it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

one sec let me re graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so basically your graph would be 4, -1 and i used desmos for graphing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did it show the steps? I dont get it if its just the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uhhh let me see if i can solve it one sec..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm starting to think it would be 0..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer is not that important I just want to know how to solve it step by step do you know how to?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope im rlly sorry :( i tried to solve it, its very confusing to me but if you solve your graph from your inequality the answer would be 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its ok you helped me alot! thank you anyways ! :)
