How do I write 0.000001 in exponential form?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

exponent form?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont even know how to convert something into exponent form...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so sorry! :(

OpenStudy (kkutie7):

like this? \[1*10^{-6}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so its super easy just have to count how many decimal places the decimal moved over

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it went left so its a negative

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since it moved 6 places its a -6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can write it \[1 * 10^{-6}\]

OpenStudy (kkutie7):

If this is what you are asking it is very easy. The decimal should behind the fist number here is is one. count how many of zeros in front of one. it is 5 add one to that. its negative because you are moving to the right. if you were moving to the left it would be positive =D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no need for the 1* just 10^-6 will do
