The lengths of the sides of a square are multiplied by 2.5. How is the ratio of the areas related to the ratio of sides? Please help I'm not a smart guy at all.....

well do a simple test square 1. side length 1 unit... what's the area. Square 2: side length 2.5 units what's the area is the ratio of areas (square 2)/(square 1) = 2.5^2
