The sum of distance of a moving point P from the point (0,4) and its distance from the origin is 8 units. Find the equation of the locus of P and show that it's an ellipse.

distance btween P(x, y) and (0,4) = ? distance btween P(x, y) and (0,0) = ?

add them and set it equal to 8

square both sides 1-2 times and get rid of radicals
