Which of these is not a living organism?? A muscle cell, an amoeba, a rosebush, or an earthworm? I'm so confused. Arent they all living organisms?
So, you think ''A muscle cell'' is a living organism?
Cellular Make-Up and Organization (Living things are composed of cells.) Nutrition and Consumption (In order for something to be living it must consume and gain from nutrition) Reproduction (Living organisms grow and reproduce to make other living organisms.) Growth and Adaptability (A living organism may stay the same size, but it can grow in other ways) Interaction (A living organism will interact with another living organisims) Respiration (All living organisms have some form of respiration.) Movement (To classify an organism as “living” it must exhibit some form of movement.) Energy (Living things will gain energy from the world around them. This can be in the form of plants gaining energy through sunlight by photosynthesis) Homeostasis (All living things must be able to contain and maintain their bodies' internal states, known as homeostasis.)
does A muscle cell show Respiration? (All living organisms have some form of respiration.)
*gives Thad a meddle (whatever the heck that is)* :3
Thank you guys so much! It was pretty late when I was taking this quiz so I wasnt thinking it through completely or just not even thinking at all. I completely understand now. I know what an organism is and I'm trying a little harder to not be so slow. LOL. Thanks for all the help! :)
