Julie owns a video store. Her monthly expenses, including rent, average $889. This year she made $31,068 in revenue. What is the difference between her average monthly revenue and her average monthly expenses?
seems as if I'd just be finding the range of these numbers, but I'm not certain. What do you think, @iGreen ?
i would subtract
the " difference " implies that it is a subtraction problem. Her monthly expenses are 889 per month, which equals (889 x 12) = 10668 Her yearly revenue is 31068 Now find the difference by subtracting
I got the 10668 by multiplying by 12 (because there is 12 months in a year)...so that is her yearly expenses
Ok, that's what I thought, which is the same as finding the range.... Thx, so 20400 would be the correct answer. right?
yep..you got it
wow, actually it's incorrect
I do not see how
hmm idk
@satellite73 ...can you take a peek at this
I guess I only needed to subtract
thats what we did and we got 20400
lol... maybe my school is just not so bright ..... they have a glich or sumthin idk.... or maybe they just do it different, but I've seen glitch like things b4, so that could be the case.
I would check on it if I were you....because I do not see anything that we did wrong
I will, I will ask my teacher about that because that is strange, yeah
lol....schools make mistakes too
i suppose you're right
Ok, well i asked her I'll definitely make sure to tell u guys what she says
