I don't understand what this is asking for: -Use the thoughts you recorded in your notes to write a topic sentence for a paragraph analyzing Chapter 4, "The Cylinder Opens” from War of the Worlds. You will only write the topic sentence. -Based on this chapter, what might be the author’s message or theme? This is half of another assessment, & I don't know what the theme is of the story .-.

OpenStudy (uchezzy):

is asking what was the author trying to u to understand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I read it but I need to find the theme of this chapter. That didn't give me any theme :( Thanks anyway

OpenStudy (micahm):

do you have to make up a theme

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I sent both of you the link to the chapter just in case you needed it. & no the theme is what the author wants you to understand

OpenStudy (micahm):

A theme is a statement that identifies the life experience the author wants us to learn

OpenStudy (micahm):

the people were scared because they think the world is going to end

OpenStudy (anonymous):
