Geology is the study of the Earth. Since we live here, its important. We consume a number of resources from the Earth such as oil, coal, and several minerals. Geology also helps us understand some natural disasters such as volcanoes and earthquakes. It also helps us predict and understand global warming, how melting glaciers affects sea level and global temperature.
