Algebra question
To open these doors, you must match the number and type of solutions for the following two functions in standard form. f(x) = x2 + 6x – 16 g(x) = x2 +6x + 1 Match the following descriptions of the solutions to each of the functions above. Hint: they each have their own match. Two real irrationals solutions Two real rationals solutions
@ganeshie8 can you check this out please
Am I supposed to figure out the solutions or just match which one is rational and which one is irrational? If so I already know 1 but not sure how to do 2
@IMStuck
by the way all those diamond things are just one " - "
You have to factor them to see what their solutions are.
That's how you find solutions to equations...by factoring them.
x^2 + 6x + 16 = 0 (x - 2)(x + 8) = 0 This is a rational equation
thats for 1 but dont know how to do 2
ok, the first one is right. Let's do the second one, then.
i know its irrational ;p
