Whenever you see these types of problems, You always remember that ok in order to get for example 30 i need subtract something side to side like 20 So for this problem it's really simple Take your equation : 2x + 20 = 30 (Knowing that 2x +20 is not equal to 30) Take 20 from each side 2x - 20 and 30 - 20 = 10 So 2x = 10 over x= 10/2 * 2 go's into 10 5 times) So your answer will be : X=5 Hope this helped !
