sammixboo (sammixboo):

Term Definition 1. an internet advertisement includes a phone number A) systematic sampling to call for a survey ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. interviewing five percent of the homeowners in each B) convenience sampling of 4 neighborhoods ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. a daytime manager surveys every fifth employee that arrives C) volunteer sampling to work ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. the recital costume preferences for a dance studio determined by D) stratified sampling surveying all of the students in the Saturday morning dance class

OpenStudy (amistre64):

and your attempt?

sammixboo (sammixboo):

i know that term 1 is C

OpenStudy (amistre64):

yes, those who are in the sample are volunteering to call in

sammixboo (sammixboo):

i am confused about the rest because the have similar definition

OpenStudy (amistre64):

one of them seems more convenient to me than the rest of them, but your right. words and math dont mix for me

OpenStudy (amistre64):

define systematic for me

sammixboo (sammixboo):

ya systematic sampling means a method of selecting a population sample by means of a pattern, such as every nth member selected from an organized list that i the definition in my lesson

OpenStudy (amistre64):

and which example is picking every nth element?

sammixboo (sammixboo):

term 3

OpenStudy (amistre64):

then we have 2 more left one sounds convenient to me, the other sounds more stratified (part of a part of a part of a part) to me

sammixboo (sammixboo):

so term 2 is D

OpenStudy (amistre64):

D is what i would pick, if its correct or not .... dunno really

sammixboo (sammixboo):

ok thanks i can let you know if it is

OpenStudy (amistre64):

k

sammixboo (sammixboo):

yeah all of that was correct thanks

OpenStudy (amistre64):

strated take a group, divide it into say men and women, divide each into subgroups by age, pick a sample of each subgroup etc

OpenStudy (amistre64):

yay!!

OpenStudy (amistre64):

most reasonable, and correct are 2 different things in my mind lol

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Hey this is Sammi now. Thanks for helping I tried my best to help him, but he didn't really understand what I was telling him ahaha

OpenStudy (amistre64):

youre welcome

sammixboo (sammixboo):

See I am good with math, but not with that kind of stuff. Like you words and math = no good to me

sammixboo (sammixboo):
