A certain type of Swiss chocolate comes in a package that's the shape of a triangular prism. If the perimeter of one of the triangular bases is 16 centimeters, what is the surface area of the entire package? 164 cm2 224 cm2 248 cm2 272 cm2

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Sorry, not enough information. Is it a REGULAR triangular prism? Is there a particular volume to shoot for? Seriously, there is not enough information. Does it mean a tetrahedron with four identical faces?

@tkhunny oooooooooooooooh yeah

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Okay, one side of the triangular base is 6. The other two total 16 - 6 = 10. It's isosceles, so the other two must be 10/2 = 5 and we are done. Calculate the area of the five sides. All the measurements are known.
