A constant force of 4.0 N acts on a variety of objects. The greatest acceleration will occur in the object that has....? -most inertia -least inertia -greatest momentum -least momentum
Define inertia and momentum.
Inertia is the law, an object stays at rest unless acted upon by another force/an object stays in motion unless acted upon by another force, right? And momentum is the heavier, the more quickly it can go.
momentum is the product of the velocity of an object with it's mass. momentum=mass*velocity What this question relates to is inertia. If two bodies experience the same force, which one will be accelerated more, the heavier one (more inertia) or the lighter one (less inertia)?
That clears it up. The lighter one?
yes, indeed
