I recently (as of a few days ago) installed Linux Ubuntu onto my Dell Latitude e6400. It is up and running, but I can't connect to the internet... the switch is on, and I have done a lot of research, but I don't know how to get the wireless to start seeing my network. Can anyone help? Will give a medal.

Ok umm.... What site did ou install if from?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Linux

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can't get very much more specific.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The official one

OpenStudy (librarian):

Do you have a login for your wifi? Its could be the problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We just have a password... but that is no reason it is not working... no networks are popping up.

OpenStudy (librarian):

It could be a bug thats not allowing it to detect any networks it might be something that would need to be professionally detected /=

Nada... my dad could do it... but this whole Ubuntu thing was his challenge to me... now he could do it... but since I can't find anything online, I thought I would see if someone knew...

OpenStudy (librarian):

Ok well give me a minute k?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure.

OpenStudy (librarian):

This type of thing could be filed under the parental controls maybe he locked it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, the computer has never been used... I'm not that retarded.

OpenStudy (librarian):

Your online asking 15+ year olds about a computer -_- so um......ya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, i asked if someone knew about it so... sorry to offend you. Here is a medal for your assistance.

OpenStudy (librarian):

You did not offend me I am dealing with two very rude moderators right now /=

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh. Ok.

OpenStudy (librarian):

Very sorry.
