Deion pitches a baseball at a speed of 48 miles per hour. The distance between Deion and the batter is 60 feet. Based on the speed of the pitch, approximately how much time does it take the ball to travel between Deion and the batter? 1 mile = 5,280 feet A) between 0 and 0.5 seconds B) between 0.5 seconds and 1 second C) between 1 second and 1.5 seconds D) between 1.5 seconds and 2 seconds

Well you first start off with the equation distance=rate/time So 60/5280 mi= 48mph/x Multiply the distance by the rate to get the time..which is about 0.55 Your answer will be B!
