12/x-6+x=3+8x/x-6 what the hell am i doing with this equation it says what are the real roots of this equation the answer is x=15 and x=2 but how do i get this answer

you are trying to solve for the values of x that make the equation true (i.e. both sides are the same when you plug in x = 15 and x = 2. What they mean by real is not imaginary.... when you take the square root of a negative, for example, the answer is imaginary. We are only looking for real answers here.
