OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

@AngelWilliams16

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

@e.mccormick

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What grade is this?

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im only in 8th sry :(

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Have you looked at what weather did as part of this?

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

they holdin a grudge because i was able to answer somethin they could not answer so they want to make stupid things to me and make me fail even though i passed

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

what are you saying e.mccormick i cannot understand what you are saying

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

River valleys had weather related issues on both ends of the rain spectrum. That is one part of it.

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

ok

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

And if I recall, the use of horse archers in attacks on them were another one. Probably need to confirm who was attacking whom to talk about that topic.

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

wait what?????

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

River valley civilizations were heard and farm dependent. Makes you exposed to raiders. So by giving up the valley you can create battlements and other protections. But that takes industry.

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

ok is that all there is to it? i am still confused

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Well, I have not studied this for years, but it should give you something to start with. You can look up who was involved.

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

who was involved with the raiding of the river valleys???????

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Yes. Found this: http://history-world.org/indus_valley.htm It talks about some of it.

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

i cannot seem to find the names of who attacked the river valleys

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Looks like it was just a lot of people in general. Read the "The Slow Demise Of Harappan Civilization" part. It really covers a lot of what you are looking for.

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

ok

OpenStudy (kristen.4):

River valley civilizations supported a farming lifestyle; access to the river allowed people to farm year-round. Inhabitants relied on floodwaters for farming; floods also deposited silt, which enriched the soil and made it more fertile for tilling. Jobs were created to build irrigation systems and drainage ditches. With extra food, farmers and civilians had more time for community development. Society advanced through industrialization and became increasingly urbanized as workers moved to cities to work in factories. Because people depended on industrialization, urban centers continued to grow, and inhabitants devised ways to funnel water, electricity, and other resources to cities.
