what is the mass and weight of a 10-kg object on Earth?

OpenStudy (anas.p):

Remember, Weight is a type force, which means \[Weight = Mass \times g\]Where g=acceleration due to gravity. Also kg is a unit of mass. So 10 kg object refers to the mass of the object. In this case g=9.81m/s or 10m/s if rounded. So if we take g=10m/s then \[Weight=10 \times 10 = 100 N\]
