what type of catalysts affect biochemical reactions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Enzymes are a class of proteins that are catalytic, they repeatedly process an >>accelerated<< biochemical reaction within the living system without themselves being changed by the reaction. All metabolic systems proceed with a series of enzymes, each sequential enzyme acting on the products from the previous enzyme, like an assembly line that is more efficient than each reaction occurring randomly.
