f(x)=2x^3-3x^2+1 i graphed the function and the derivative. a)use the graph to determine the exact point(s) where f has a horizontal tangent line. b)give the values of f'(x) at each of the points found in part a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they would be zero

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about part b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is part b the tangent lines are horizontal where the derivative is zero

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about a) i got that the points were (0,1) and (1,0).. is that right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't know but it is easier to do the second part first find the zeros of the derivative (easy as it is a quadratic)and that will tell you the x values of the horizontal tangents

i think i did i answered them backwards
