I think the lesson is called "Factoring Trinomials." This is the question I'm having trouble with: v^2 - 9v + 45 On a side note, I have yet to learn the quadratic formula and I don't think I would want to learn it just yet.

well looking at this problem there may be a typo... and I don't think the expression can be factored. I think it has complex roots

I don't think my teacher would do put the problem on the homework if it did have complex roots. But I don't know. Anyways, thanks to you both.
